Rather than functioning as a traditional school, The Wonder Orchard serves as a homeschool learning community that offers educational services, enrichment opportunities, resources, academic support, and meaningful experiences for homeschooling families.
We believe education flourishes when families are empowered, supported, and connected to a community that shares a vision for childhood—one that values wonder, creativity, meaningful relationships, individualized learning, and the freedom to grow at each child’s unique pace while helping them reach their full potential.
The Wonder Orchard does not replace homeschooling.

Planting seeds for Lifelong Learning
We chose the name The Wonder Orchard because it reflects the heart of our mission and our holistic approach to education.
We believe education is about far more than academics. It is about nurturing the whole child—their intellect, creativity, character, confidence, curiosity, relationships, and sense of purpose. Whether through homeschool support, personalized tutoring, enrichment experiences, or thoughtfully curated educational resources, everything we do is designed to help children flourish.
An orchard beautifully illustrates this philosophy. No one expects every tree to grow at the same pace or bear fruit in exactly the same way. Each tree has its own season, its own strengths, and its own needs. The gardener cannot force growth, but can faithfully cultivate the conditions in which growth becomes possible—providing rich soil, nourishment, sunlight, protection, and patient care.
Children are much the same.
Every child has been created with unique gifts, interests, and ways of learning. Our role is not to mold every learner into the same shape, but to cultivate an environment where those gifts can take root and thrive. We believe the most meaningful education happens when children are known, encouraged, challenged, and given the freedom to explore the world with curiosity and joy.
This philosophy is one of the reasons we are so passionate about homeschooling. Learning was never meant to exist only within four classroom walls. Some of life’s richest lessons happen while baking bread, hiking a trail, reading beneath a tree, building with hands, serving others, exploring museums, asking difficult questions, creating art, or simply slowing down long enough to notice the extraordinary in the ordinary. We believe education is not confined to a place—it is a way of engaging with the world.
Why "The Wonder Orchard"?
The ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle wrote that “philosophy begins in wonder.” More than two thousand years later, educational research continues to affirm this timeless idea. Studies in developmental psychology and cognitive science suggest that experiences of awe and wonder strengthen curiosity, deepen engagement, improve memory, encourage creativity, and inspire children to ask meaningful questions. Wonder is not simply an emotion—it is one of the greatest catalysts for learning.
Children naturally possess this gift. They ask Why? How? What if? They marvel at insects, stars, music, stories, mathematics, and the smallest details adults often overlook. Yet somewhere along the way, education can become so focused on finding the right answers that children lose the joy of asking beautiful questions.
At The Wonder Orchard, we believe our responsibility is not simply to teach children, but to protect that wonder.
Because when wonder is preserved, learning becomes joyful. Curiosity becomes self-sustaining. Knowledge becomes meaningful. Education becomes an adventure rather than an obligation.
Our hope is that every child who grows with us develops deep roots in the values that shape who they are—integrity, kindness, curiosity, and compassion—while their trunk is strengthened through core academics that give them knowledge and confidence to stand tall. As they grow, we hope their branches stretch outward into their many interests and passions, and that their lives bear abundant fruit—the skills, wisdom, creativity, resilience, confidence, and lifelong love of learning that come from bringing all of those things together. Long after lessons are forgotten and tests are completed, we hope they continue to walk through the world with eyes wide open: noticing beauty, asking thoughtful questions, seeking understanding, and never losing the wonder that first inspired them to learn.

Krystal and Brianna teach together in the classroom, leading all academic and enrichment instruction as a team so students benefit from consistent, familiar instructors across every subject and every day.
Both educators have completed full background checks and hold valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Cards.
Krystal Hanna
Co-Founder, Educator & Director of Academics
Krystal Hanna is a certified educator through the Arizona Department of Education with endorsements in K–8 General Education and K–12 Special Education. She brings over 10 years of experience in both general education and special education classrooms. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Northern Arizona University (Cum Laude). At The Wonder Orchard, Krystal serves as Director of Academics, responsible for curriculum design, standards-based instruction, lesson planning, and student academic development in math and literacy.
Her instruction focuses on building strong foundational skills through structured, evidence-based teaching methods and individualized academic support within a small-group learning environment.
Brianna Torres Agostini
Co-Founder, Educator & Director of Program Experience
Brianna Torres Agostini brings over 15 years of experience working with children, including the last three years teaching elementary school. Her background spans early childhood development, private school program development, microschool environments, and therapeutic arts-based learning.
She is currently working toward her Master’s degree at Grand Canyon University and holds an Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Development and Psychology from Paradise Valley Community College.
At The Wonder Orchard, Brianna teaches alongside Krystal and leads program experience, enrichment planning, field trip coordination, and family communication — ensuring a cohesive, engaging, and thoughtfully structured learning environment for students and families.

A few pieces of Our Story
- We met in trigonometry class at Paradise Valley Community College and became instant friends.
- Years later, we discovered that Krystal is Brianna's (boyfriend -> husband's) cousin! A connection we did not realize until after our friendship had already formed.
- College graduates together.
- Becoming mothers around the same time deeply shaped our shared approach to early learning and family-centered education.
- Krystal is Armenian.
- Brianna is Puerto Rican and Italian.
- People often mistake us for each other. :)
